A Public-Private Partnership for Clean Energy
The Mid-Atlantic Clean Hydrogen Hub (or MACH2™) was formed as a 501(c)(3) organization whose short-term goal is to bring together a cross-sector team spanning industry, labor, non-profit organizations, academia, government affairs, grants management, project management, community engagement, and economic and technical analysis to craft a full proposal to be submitted to the U.S. Department of Energy by April 2023. Bringing together and leveraging this level of expertise is a substantial effort and represents the bulk of the short-term funding needed to ensure that we submit a sound and compelling proposal to DOE and for which we ask support.

MACH2™ is a multi-year project with an initial 12–18-month planning phase that will prioritize development of a Community Benefits Plan that addresses labor relations, environmental justice, diversity and equity, and community engagement. Constituencies will have a hand in shaping and benefitting from MACH2™.
